Prepare for Success

Find your two special offers below!

As you read every word of this article, you'll learn the secrets of peak performance for business success. Haven't the masters told you that the best investment you can make is in your mind? Well ... what about the body that carries your mind from place to place? Merge the power of your mind with the power of your body and be a force to contend with!

First step is to look at your values. Business success tops the list but if you don't have good health what can you really accomplish? Contact me for a free handout to clarify your values.

To have energy in the day your body needs rest at night. Go to bed by 11 PM. Keep your room dark and avoid alcohol, caffeine and stimulating topics before getting cozy under the covers. Daytime racing around, working, planning and multi-tasking all take their toll. If you're overcharged in the day, sleeping at night gets harder.

Create balance by inserting momentary healing intervals throughout the day. Take a deep breath when you get out of your chair, answer the phone, and before eating. Add a full body smile to that breath and magnify the effect. Get up from your chair, stretch your arms overhead and go for a drink of water. Lean back against the headrest of your car or high back chair and maybe close your eyes for a moment - not while driving of course!

If you still have trouble sleeping, consider chamomile or valerian tea, melatonin, tryptophan or 5 HTP. Women over 35 years old may need to consider supplementing with bio-identical progesterone to rest and relax deeply.

Testosterone, estrogen and pregnenolone are other performance hormones: testosterone for drive, estrogen for stability and clear thinking, and pregnenolone for memory. Other memory boosters are Gingko biloba, Earthrise Spirulina and Gotu kola. When using hormones, take them in a normal range and never use synthetics. Adult hormone deficiency is common. Correcting for deficiencies is different than athletes who cheat by taking enormous doses.

Eat a good breakfast including protein and vegetables within one hour of waking. Your brain demands nutrients to wake up and produce! Eat simply during the day - at least three meals. If your energy drags eat a piece of fruit and a handful of nuts or cheese to pick you up vs. loading you down with caffeine and carbs. Sugar and stimulants perk you up now but lead to crash and burn later.

Success energy comes from food in the presence of vitamins, minerals and co-factors. Guess what supplies those best - vegetables, a little fruit, and protein. Finish eating by 8 PM so your body has a chance to digest before moving into self-cleaning mode at 10 PM. (Those are the facts of our natural day/night cycles. They're not negotiable.)

Did I mention how important fats are? Your brain is built of fat that must come from what you eat -- especially wild fish, flax meal and grass fed meat. You can also get these fats from EPA/DHA supplements. Coconut oil and milk help you burn calories and fight virus. Try one to three tablespoons a day.

Because you don't always eat your best, consider a custom nutrition program accessed online at www.HealthCoach.com. Enter the self-test assessment tool by using access code: health2090. If nothing else you'll get a free report of what the latest science recommends for your specific needs considering age, allergies, medications, what you eat, how you sleep, medical history, latitude, etc. To go it on your own make sure to include a stress B Complex, minerals and pure fish oil supplements.

Tryptophan is back in favor. Food sources are turkey and milk and it can also be found in vitamin stores. Tryptophan is called the "sunshine supplement". How much easier is it to do what you need to do when you have a smile on your face? Another amino acid, tyrosine boosts energy. Avoid taking it if you get headaches and after 3 PM.

Finally, exercise gives you a competitive edge. According to Money, an extra 100 calories a day packs on 10 pounds a year. Moderate exercise for 30 minutes a day prevents that gain. Health Affairs says that trim Americans spend 26% less on health care and make $1.42 more per hour.

What will you do with the bonus energy you've created by taking the simple action steps above? Any one of them will speed up your rise to the top. Dream big, the world needs a healthy you!

If all this seems too confusing or if you just don't know where to start schedule a 30 minute consult so I can help you find and take the most effective steps to prepare yourself for success.

Normal value $65, until Thanksgiving 2007, only $50.
