Dr Berry is a chiropractor, certified clinical nutritionist, and a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Nutrition. She specializes in helping people return to the vibrant health and energy that is their birthright. Dr Berry feels that stress, poor food choices and the environmental toxins that surround us could be causing serious illness. In her new book, Internal Cleansing this dynamic health care practitioner offers advice on how to rid the body of the many harmful additives and synthetic compounds that affect us from our air, our water and our diet. Internal Cleansing is an excellent resource that offers specific recommendations and name brand comparisons of products and techniques that Dr Berry feels will help detoxify the body, leaving it healthier and more alive than you thought possible.
This book provides an instructive and fascinating look at how important it is for us to identify the key areas of stress that can contribute to failing health.
Dr Berry specifically covers the four main types of stress we all deal with: structural, biochemical, mental/emotional, and electromagnetic. She continues her discussion by providing readers with proven and effective therapies to remove obstacles that are interfering with effective detoxification and elimination pathways.
There are three cleansing programs included in the book's discussion on internal cleansing. Each takes approximately 8 weeks to complete. The Herb and Fiber Cleansing Program is suitable for those who wish to have the benefits of cleansing without dramatically changing their lifestyles. The Therapeutic Food Powders for Cleansing Program spares protein loss and provides specific nutrition for the support and repair of oxygen systems during detoxification. Cleansing the Liver and Lymph System is based on dietary changes. In using this third program, the reader is encouraged to leave alcohol and fried and greasy foods behind in order to allow the liver to begin the process of repair. Eliminating or minimizing refined carbohydrates such as sugar, white bread, rolls and pasta, and cakes, cookies and pastries will aid this process of rejuvenation, according to Dr Berry.
Some of Dr Berry's other suggestions are drinking lemon squeezed into water first thing in the morning, malic acid from apples and apple products for breaking up gallstones, and brewing a tasty tea of equal parts of fennel, anise and fenugreek seed for soothing the digestive tract.
This is a fascinating book, full of wonderful, practical solutions to the age-old problems of toxicity. Excellent, down to earth solutions and brand-name product comparisons make this an interesting book to read and an easy book to use. For more information, contact Healthy Answers.
